Winamax Poker Open in Regency Hotel in Dublin started on 25th of September and ended September 28th 2014. This year's field didn’t reach the record from 2013 (1089 players), but the number of 994 players (including re–entries) is still impressive.

Winamax Team Poker Pros, Triple Crown winner Davidi Kitai, Manuel Bevand, Ludovic Lacay, Gaelle Baumann, Bruno Lopes and Ludovic Riehl, all invested their time and dance moves into this event, adding a lot of amusement value to it.

This year, the Winamax Poker Open trophy stays in Ireland.

Despite arriving to the final table with the smallest number of chips, it was no surprise when impressive Irishman, Tom Kitt, earned the victory in the 5th annual Winamax Poker Open. He played solid, patient and conservative poker and made almost no mistakes in his quest for the title. There were no demonstrations of power or ego, just solid, serious poker at its best. His total live earnings before this win were $174,029 and total online earnings $320,404. During the final table, every time he put all his chips in the middle, he turned over a better hand.

Things were very close on the final hand against Frenchman Alexis Coming. On a 9s 8s 6h flop, Kitt checked, Coming fired out a bet and then called when Kitt check – raised all in. Coming showed T-8 off suit for a middle pair and a gutshot, while Kitt showed the A-6 of spades for a bottom pair, an over card and a nut flush draw. The ace of hearts came on the turn and the King of Hearts fell on the river, busting Alexis Coming and eliminating the last obstacle standing between him and the trophy. Tom Kitt was announced Winamax Poker Open champion after battling his way through the field of 993 other players.
