Another YaAarny Propbet in the Making

Not so long ago, we've talked about 'YaAarny's' propbet which, unfortunately, did not finish as he had hoped, but he still provided all of us with a lot of entertainment. When it was all said and done, 'YaAarny' did not even feel that bad about failing. Perhaps he knew what we didn't know at the time – 'I'll get them next time'.

It seems that the next time has arrived, as our propbet hero opened an interest-gauge thread over on 2+2, offering, once again, a very exciting betting prospects for anyone interested. Here’s his proposal.

Terms of the Bet

- Play 500k hands of PLO in 45 days

- Lowest stakes allowed 2 / 4

- Zoom is included

- 'YaAarny' has to show a winrate of +1bb after 500k hands

- Odds: 2/1 in YaAarny’s favor

- He is willing to put up to $100k to win $200k

Bettors are lining up

It is hard to assess a difficulty of this type of a bet if you are not one of the regulars playing in the same games. However, one good indicator is willingness of those who do know to take him up on the bet. The thread only went up yesterday and there has already been around $20k in pledges.

However, there is an issue that will probably have to be resolved before this show gets on the road. There are quite a few potential bettors who are not happy with the fact that Zoom is allowed, as they feel this will make the volume part of the prop bet much easier.

On the other hand, according to Bren Lenton aka 'YaAarny' and some others, achieving big enough volume will be really hard without playing Zoom tables. The compromise is needed and YaAarny seems more than willing to find one. He’s shown before that he is not afraid of a challenge.

Chicagojoey dusting off his gear

During YaAarny’s last propbet, Joe Ingram, known on 2 + 2 as Chicagojoey, was closely following his progress with reports and live streams. If the bet goes through (which is likely to happen), Joe has already announced his intention to do the same thing again – much to the delight of the community.

Propbets are fun as it is, but being able to keep a close eye on the progress as the things develop adds another element getting you even more value for every dollar put on the line. It also helps in keeping those without financial interest more involved, so it is win-win situation all over the place.
