Those who have been around online poker for long enough remember it all – golden age of Full Tilt Poker, the fiasco and somewhat recent transaction that saw Full Tilt become property of Poker Stars. And in the mix of all those good and bad memories, some still probably remember the Full Tilt store, offering variety of different branded items in exchange for player points. You could argue about quality and usability of some of those items, but despite all, one cannot deny there were some pretty cool things thrown in the mix.

When Full Tilt rose from ashes and players were finally given access to their funds, something was missing. The Store was gone. I mean, there was still a store, but the offering was very reduced, mostly to tournament tokens and bonus money. The apparel, stress toys, cards, it was all gone. Those who made their store orders just before the Black Friday received their points back to use as they want, but the items were no more. And now we finally know what happened to them.

When FTP shut down, there was approximately $3.5 million worth of merchandise left in store. Jay Sugarman Auction Group announced an auction for August 2 selling all of these items. The auction page contains a disclaimer emphasizing that all the merchandise is being sold by a third party and that it is in no way related to Full Tilt (Poker).

Some of the items that were left after the company took the dive include nearly 4,500 assorted jackets, nearly 30,000 different varieties of playing cards, more than a thousand football and basketball balls, a hundred bar stools as well as 7,000 ‘misc items’.

The news of the auction was met with mixed reaction on the biggest poker forum, 2+2, as many people were once again reminded of the whole ordeal they had to go through before getting their money back, but there were also those who had their eyes fixed on certain items. However, it is not quite clear if the auction will be done for individual items, or the entire lot will be sold to the highest bidder.

The one thing that seems to be in very high demand and is not listed (unless it is a part of ‘misc items’) is the Full Tilt bathrobe. Quite a few players are trying to get their hands on one of those, so they will not have any problems finding buyers. For the rest of the merchandise, however, things do not look so good, as it is, after all, a huge number of items with the brand of the site that caused many players numerous grievances. Either way, live auction starts in a week, so dust off your stress cats and get ready for bidding wars.
