Two Plus Two forum thread that popped up this morning created quite a stir in the community, as new forum member, with just one post and going under alias ‘Justin Archuleta’ came clean about alleged web of poker related scams that has been going on for years.

Many of these I commited myself, and some with the help of another individual who had connection to 2p2 accounts in which I bought and gave a percentage of what I received from a scam. Largely because I had other techniques in the USA to retrieve funds to cash accounts. Also, my english was a little better to use social engineering.

'This is my Confession...'

‘Justin Archuleta’ explained in his opening paragraph how he used variety of scamming, cheating and hacking techniques in order to extract or steal money from his unsuspecting victims. Some of techniques used, in his own words, included keyloggers, PayPal scams, DDOS attacks, chip dumping, credit card thefts and much more.

This confession was followed by the claim that he ‘found God’ and started feeling really bad about all the people he scammed over the years. This enticed him to try and do something to correct his wrongdoings, and as the first step of this process, ‘Archuleta’ published the list of people he scammed with the amounts he had taken them for. The full list can be found in the original thread (and it is quite a long one), but some stated amounts enter the six-figure territory.

I have repented seriously with God in July and cried hard. I feel really bad for what I've done and wish that all my victims give me a chance to make things right. I've come a long long way to get to this point. My last scam was last year around August for $8000 to young_bluffkin.

According to what was posted, he is now looking to arrange some sort of payment plan with all the people he owes money to and start paying them back. Parts of this post also contain statements that could best be described as pathetic like Life is about doing good to others and I want to follow the path of righteousness! and I will use my knowledge to improve Science, The Economy, and Well Being of others lives, especially coming from a self-proclaimed professional scammer.

We have to always take what’s posted anonymously on forums with a grain of salt, as there are often people trying to hurt others by doing this type of thing. However, considering the amount of information provided and overall feel of the post, it seems real enough. Either way, we take it at the face value and report about what is known so far. In the meantime, 2+2 moderators are also working on trying to confirm that the post was really made by the person this user claims to be.

Fool me Once...

Reaction of the community was one of surprise and, naturally, doubt. Although it may sound like this person is trying to turn his life around, first of all totals of the amounts owed are nearly $300K and it would be a hell of a repayment plan to take care of all of that. Secondly, it is natural reaction that when a known scammer makes a post like this to have doubts that they may be trying to pull another scam or put themselves in a better position for some future agenda.

‘Justin Archuleta’ has not responded to any inquiries made in the thread and his post count remains one. He did leave his email address where his victims should be contacting him regarding making the payment plans, so they will surely report when and if they make a contact and we’ll be keeping an eye out on the development of this situation.
