Jason Somerville and Ultimate Poker Parting Ways?

In recent weeks, a few sponsored professional poker players have been cut from different poker rooms. Shortly after the online poker giant, PokerStars, parted ways with Latin American players Humberto Brenes, Angel Guillen and Jose āNachoā Barbero, the same thing happened toJoe Cada, Marcel Luske and Alex Kravchenko.
Reasons for cuts are of different natures; some decisions were made through mutual agreement between the parties, while at the same time some of the pros were not fully satisfied with the terms and conditions of their contracts anymore. There are also examples where certain pros simply wanted to focus on their family and business in their countries, which happened with Humberto Brennes.
Closely following the news that William Reynolds, Jeremy Ausmus, Phil Collins and Brent Hanks had been cut from Ultimate Pokerās āTeam Uā, rumors began circulating that the latest to part ways with Ultimate Poker is popular Jason Somerville, host of the well liked āRun it UPā show.
Jason Somerville (born April 15, 1987) is an American professional poker player, known for his āRun it UPā show. He has won one World Series of Poker bracelet, and also has fourteen other World Series of Poker āin the moneyā finishes together with two European Poker Tour āin the moneyā finishes. His total live tournament earnings are $3,475,455.
His āRun it UPā show is in fact a video/live stream series where viewers are encouraged to watch, listen and learn as he turns $50 into $10,000. Apart from the challenge, Jason has also been known to bring on some of the well recognized faces in the industry, making the whole thing even more enjoyable.
Somervilleās web series of āRun It Upā were exclusive and very popular at Ultimate Poker. In recent days, however, every episode that was produced in new Season 2 of his show has been re-uploaded to Somervilleās own YouTube channel with the latest episodes being released on Somervilleās channel, without an Ultimate Poker duplicate which doesnāt seem too encouraging. Although Somerville himself has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, he has been hinting at it during some of the most recent episodes of āRun it UPā.
Ultimate Poker, the first online poker site to enter the regulated US market, had eight professional poker players and now, if these rumors are confirmed, there will be only three of them. Ultimate Poker Pros still employed - Big One for One Drop winner Antonio Esfandiari, Danielle āDmoonGirlā Andersen and Dan OāBrien.
