After two really action-packed weeks at the highest of the online high stakes tables, it seems that quite a few players have taken a step back and decided to spend some time without the huge swings inherent to these games.

Tuesday action was marked by one Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom who, unlike his colleagues, never seems to get tired of the nosebleeds. The Swede spent 19 hours at the Full Tilt tables swinging up and down, eventually finishing with a profit of $190k for the day, according to HighStakesDB.

Starting with just $4k at one $200/$400 2-7 TD table, ‘Isildur1’ kept progressing through the stakes, taking on the likes of ‘taktloss47,' ‘KPR16’ and Ike ‘luvtheWNBA’ Haxton along the way. At one point, Blom was up almost $400k playing against ‘taktloss47.' However, he dropped some of it back and actually started losing, only to find his way back to winning territory and finish the day on a high note.

Midnight struck and his earnings for the day were recorded at $190k, but time has little substance in Blom’s world and he was back at the tables an hour later, continuing his marathon session.

He kept battling everyone and anyone who came along, but unlike Tuesday, Wednesday did not quite go his way. Blom dropped decent amounts to both ‘KPR16’ and Haxton, but somehow managed to finish the day pretty much break-even.

The biggest winner for Wednesday was ‘Rui Cao,' whose profit was recorded as $232k. Cao clashed with ‘Trueteller’ and after some 90 minutes of play, he was up about $195k; the rest of his winnings came from Alex ‘PostflopAction’ Kostritsyn.

Two other six-figure winners were ‘Zugwat’ and Ike ‘luvtheWNBA' Haxton. ‘Zugwat’ took on Phil ‘Polarazing’ Iveyand the pair played a very long session at the 2-7 TD tables. Things did not work out for Ivey, as he dropped $121k to his opponent.

Haxton’s profit actually came from ‘Isildur1,' as mentioned, and it amounted to $120k. The two took to the $300/$600 PLO tables and some of Ike’s winnings can be attributed to him running better in big pots, but nonetheless, the numbers were as they were.

Thursday is the only other day from the past week worth mentioning, as the action completely dried up after that. The only six-figure winner was ‘BERRI SWEET’ over on PokerStars who banked $130k after dominating the $100/$200 PLO tables. Second and third place on the leaderboard went to JLlama and ‘Zugwat,’ who earned $87.5k and $72k, respectively.

As for Blom, he was active on both PokerStars and Full Tilt. When his losses on one and winnings on the other were tallied, the Swede actually ended the day up about $10k.

Let the numbers speak

As is clear from the lack of action, this wasn’t a very eventful week in terms of numbers either. Ike ‘luwtheWNBA’ Haxton made the profit of $120k, Viktor Blom made about $110k across both sites, whilePhil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond added $73,000 to his bankroll.

The only player who recorded a really big swing last week was Phil ‘Polarizing’ Ivey, who went deep into the red zone, dropping $517k. German pro ‘Trueteller’ also lost a decent amount, leaving $225k at the tables, while ‘Ilari_FIN’ lost only $66k.
