Although we are somewhat used to these highstakes report containing information about Gus Hansen’s losses, contrary to the trend, The Great Dane was able to pull off a decent weekend. After good Saturday, Sunday action saw Hansen walk away a big winner according to HighStakesDB reports.

He finished the day with $388,500 profit with action spread between 2-7 and 8-game tables. However, he was not the biggest Sunday winner, as that title went to online nosebleeds grinder ‘Denoking’ with the profit of $392.6K. ‘FinddaGrind’ and 'Alexonmoon' had nothing to complain about either, as they finished with $325K and $266K to the good respectively according to HighStakesDB.

British pro Elior ‘Crazy Elior’ Sion had his day on Monday. With $431K profit his overall earnings over the last six days climbed to over $770,000 according to HighstakesDB and with this, he was able to come close to being even for the year. All of ‘Crazy Elior’s’ Monday profit came from the 8-game session against the likes of Phil ‘Polarizing’ Ivey, Gus Hansen and ‘samrostan’ (Chun Lei Zhou).

Gus Hansen also continued what seems like a serious comeback booking another $259,500 profit. His winnings came from 2-7 Triple Draw tables, while HighStakesDB reports he dropped some money at the mix game tables. Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond was also in the six-figure club on Monday.

Big weekend action seems to have worn down players a little bit, so HighStakesDB only reported couple hours of play on Tuesday. German players ‘SanIker’ and ‘Kagome_Kagome’ were still able to book six-figure profit, $138K and $102K respectively. Phil Galfond had a good day on PokerStars, where he plays as ‘MrSweets28’, as he took nearly $138,000 off the tables.

Russian player Alexander ‘PostflopAction’ Kostritsyn was back in full force on Wednesday. Sticking to the mixed-games tables, young pro was able to book the profit of $230K. The fact he played the likes of ‘Crazy Elior’, Gus Hansen and Patrik ‘FinddaGrind’ Antonius did not seem to bother him at all. Antonius also had a big winning day of $222K while ‘samrostan’ also broke the $200K mark with the profit of $205,000.

Gus had his breakthrough day on Thursday. After booking a huge win of over $600K in the seven-hour session at the 2-7 TD tables, the Dane added another $105,000 later from the mixed-games, bringing his overall profit for the day to astounding $731,000 according to HighStakesDB. With Gus raking in the huge profit, there wasn’t much room for other big winners for the day.

Friday saw Macau based player ‘samrostan’ putting in a big, 18-hour session. Although he was all over the place, his profit came mostly from the mixed games as HighStakesDB has him at +465,000 for the day. Another player with a decent day was Patrik ‘FinddaGrind’ Antonius, who also made his profit on the mixed-game tables, taking home $127.5K. Galfond had a six-figure day as well.

Kostritsyn was back in action on Saturday, booking a six-figure win of $107,000. The only other player in this region was ‘samrostan’ with nearly $105K profit according to HighStakesDB. Games of choice were, as usual, 2-7 Triple Draw and 8-game mix.

Week in Numbers

Despite having some great days during the past week, Gus Hansen was not really able to do much and finished with the profit of only $146,000. If he is to get his lifetime graph back to black, the Dane will have to have many, many more weeks like this.

Patrik ‘FinddaGrind’ Antonius is not the guest at the tables as often as we would like to see him, but when the Fin plays, he means business. This week he ended with the profit of $263K according to HighStakesDB and his lifetime results on Full Tilt are now just shy of $6 million profit.

‘Polarizing’ Phil Ivey spent couple first days of the week playing the nosebleeds, but things did not go so well for him, as he dropped $564,000 during this period. Perhaps the new nickname is not lucky for Tiger Woods of Poker, as since February of 2012 he is stuck more than $5,000,000.

Chun Lei Zhou, known as ‘samrostan’ booked a winning week, with the profit of $187,600, which is a nice change for the player from Macau. Young Russian Alexander ‘PostflopAction’ Kostritsyn continued his hot run booking another profitable week of $440K according to HighStakesDB.

Phil Galfond had a very decent week, combining action on Full Tilt where he earned $188K and Poker Stars with $145K profit, for the grand total of $333,000. ‘Crazy Elior’ was headed in the right direction, but dropped all of his profit as the week progressed and actually finished stuck about $100K.

Finally, it was a quite week for Dan ‘jungleman12’ Cates, who finished with the profit of $75K.
