Weekly Traffic Update: Adjarabet No Fluke, iPoker With Significant Drop

The last week yielded a few major player traffic changes from last week’s report, which saw a number of huge changes take place.

Perhaps the biggest thing to take away from this week’s report is that Adjarabet’s huge jump into the top four of PokerScout’s online player traffic ranking list proved not to be a flukey one-time spike.

The Georgian-based network retained its fourth place position on the list with a seven-day player average of 1800, which was the same as the last week’s average.

However, it will be no surprise if they are able to take the third spot from iPoker in the near future given the small buffer between the two networks.

While iPoker currently remains in the top three, its seven-day player average fell to 1900. That was a significant drop from its average of 2200 last week, and puts the network in the direct firing line of Adjarabet, which gives both the extra motivation to get more players onto its networks.

The decline of iPoker’s player average has also resulted in 888poker holding a clear position as the second most played on online poker network. 888’s seven-day player average also declined, albeit only slightly, to 2300 players this week, which has given it some much welcomed breathing space over its rivals.

As always, PokerStars continues to hold the overwhelming majority of the market share in online poker. Its seven-day player average remained unchanged this week at 18500 players, which is more than the other top ten networks combined.

Full Tilt rounded out the top five poker networks with a player average of 1500 over the last week. Up to now it has been successful in staving off any attempts by PartyPoker to reclaim its once-held fifth spot.

However, that success may not last long as PartyPoker has inched closer to Full Tilt in the online poker traffic rankings this week. PartyPoker currently boasts a seven-day player average of 1450 players, just 50 behind that of its fifth place adversary and a boost of 100 from last week’s player average.

This makes it very interesting to see which network will hold the fifth spot this time next week. There is strong potential for Full Tilt to maintain or even increase its player average to maintain its hold of the spot.

However, there is just as much potential for PartyPoker to also boost the number of players on its network and retake its place in the top five.

In the US, Party Borgata continues to lead the way in New Jersey with a seven day player average of 130, while WSOP’s online poker network also kept its spot as the top network in Nevada, having boasted an average of 85 players for the past seven day period.
