Weekly Traffic Update: Adjarabet Thrives to Claim the Fourth Spot

Very little has changed on the online poker traffic rankings this week, with the majority of networks retaining similar numbers to last week.

There is one major exception to that, however.

That is Georgian-based network, Adjarabet, which has come out from nowhere to hold the fourth spot on PokerScout’s online poker traffic rankings.

The network currently boasts a seven day player average of 1900 players and will be a major player in online poker should it be able to cement that position.

Adjarabet was behind the usual ‘big three’ of online poker; PokerStars, 888poker and iPoker.

PokerStars remains the most dominant network by far, with a seven day player average of 18500. That is head and shoulders in front of the second largest network, 888poker, which remains in second place with a seven day average of 2400 players.

That is up 100 from its average one week ago, and gives it a bit of breathing space from iPoker. They are the third biggest network in terms of player traffic, with a seven day player average of 2200.

The figure is up 10 per cent from last week, and while its numbers are still behind 888, another increase in players could put on par or even ahead of the second placed company as soon as next week.

Full Tilt Poker is currently fifth on the poker traffic list, and its average of 1600 players is down from this time last week. The network will be hoping that it won’t experience any further falls in player anytime soon as that would risk it getting overtaken on the rankings list by PartyPoker.

PartyPoker also experienced a fall in player numbers this week, albeit only slightly. The network currently has a seven day player average of 1350, which is 50 down from last week.

The network will have to significantly increase its numbers if it wants to obtain a strong position on the list as the current top five networks won’t relinquish their positions without a fight.

In the US, Party Borgata continues to lead the way in New Jersey with a seven day player average of 130, while WSOP’s online poker network also kept its spot as the top network in Nevada, having boasted an average of 95 players for the week.
