Borgata Suicide Man Named as Beach Volleyball Pro Eric Zaun

The man who jumped to his death from the 29th floor of the Borgata Hotel and Casino last week was named as 25-year old beach volleyball pro Eric Zaun

Police were called to the Atlantic City casino early on Tuesday evening after a body was discovered in the parking lot, the Atlantic City Police Department stating:

‘An investigation by detectives determined the man jumped from the window of his hotel room’.

It is believed that Zaun smashed the window of his upper floor hotel room before plunging to his death, a bystander tweeting:

“OMG. Was at Borgata today for film meeting and witnessed a guy jump from 29th floor to his death”.

The talented young Cherry Hills, New Jersey man moved to California to pursue his beach volleyball career and was named AVP’s ‘Rookie of the Year’ in 2017.

Tributes and messages of condolences have poured into social media platforms for the popular player, nicknamed RoadDog. Those close to Zaun and the volleyball community have been urging anyone struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts to reach out for help…

PokerTube passes on its condolences to the family and friends of Eric at this truly sad time.
