A rant against dealers at a Scottsdale, Arizona cardroom descended into a full-blown brawl this week, video of the stramash shared on Twitter by WSOP Bracelet winner Justin ‘Looshle’ Pechie…
The first part of Pechie’s video, above, shows the build-up to the violence, an unnamed man wandering between the tables venting at all and sundry. Pechie told Cardschat that the rant “went on for a couple minutes before I started recording”.
The poker player can be heard shouting: “I’m not losing, motherfuckers. Fuck the dealers. I’m not losing. Fuck you, you black bitch”, clearly unhappy about something that had just happened at his $4/$8 Hold’em table.
At the very end of Pechie’s first clip, a man can be seen trying to flying tackle the cursing patron, and his second instalment of ‘Wild Times at Talking Stick’ shows what followed, the attacker being smacked full in the face as staff attempt to quell the fight.
With people, chairs and poker chips flying, the Talking Stick casino’s cardroom resembled a full-blown riot for a brief time before staff finally subdued the initial problem guest, yellow-vested security eventually arriving on the scene as well, though too late to be of any real use.
In a weirdly coincidental tweet shared the same day before the violent eruption, well-known pro Jonathan Little asked about favourite casinos… and you guessed it…
The casino has yet to comment publicly on the incident, although both men involved are rumoured to have been give life bans from the establishment.
