Face-Mask Flouting Vegas Gambler Removed from Casino in Handcuffs

A refusal to wear a mask at the 4 Queens casino in Las Vegas led to one gambler being frog-marched from the property in handcuffs for non-compliance with Nevada’s anti-COVID regulations…

Video footage of several of the Fremont Street casino’s security guards struggling with the heavyset, tattooed and facemask-free punter, eventually having to handcuff the man before handing him to police.

The state of Nevada has a compulsory mask policy, Governor Steve Sisolak stating at the end of June:

“For Nevada to stay safe and stay open, we must make face coverings a routine part of our daily life… I signed a directive with a new requirement for Nevadans and visitors to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or face covering, when in public space, whether publicly or privately owned. This especially applies to indoor activities in which you are near other people, including grocery stores, retail businesses, malls and gaming properties.”

Nevada, as with many other parts of the country, have seen protests against mandatory mask wearing policies. Roughly 100 protestors attended a rally organised by No Mask Nevada.

This is despite Nevada reporting over 50,000 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic stuck, with 832 confirmed deaths from the disease.
