The Aussie Millions Main Event was the scene of considerable drama and a truly sick fold, resulting in James Hopkins getting some mad respect throughout the poker world.
Hopkins' nemesis was Duy Ho, who was holding Ac-Kh and commenced to c-bet on a flop of Jh-Qc-4c. Hopkins used his position to raise with 9h-8h, getting called by Ho.
The dealer peeled the Td on the turn, giving both players a straight, with Ho holding the nuts. Acting first, Ho checked, prompting Hopkins to bet 55,000.
A check-raise by Ho to 110,000 followed, leaving Hopkins with a crucial decision to make while holding a hand that not many players would be able to lay down. Hopkins tanked for awhile with about 120,000 behind before incredibly folding his straight.

Praise and admiration for Hopkins' play was abundant on social media, with a number of pros chiming in. Hopkins also commented via Twitter, stating rather nonchalantly that he knew that his hand was second-best.
Hopkins won his seat in the Aussie Millions Main Event via a $550 satellite, according to a previous post on Twitter.
Hats off to James Hopkins for that hero fold. His run in the tournament ended in 47th place and a cash of of AUD $25,000 when his pocket jacks ran into the pocket ladies of Johan Schumacher and he received no help from the community cards.
Duy Ho followed Hopkins to the rail a couple hours later. He four-bet shoved from the small blind with about 400K in chips and A-Q in the hole. Mike Del Vecchio made the call with A-K and the better starting hand held up, knocking out Ho in 40th place with an AUD $30,000 payday.
