Highstakes poker legend Jason Mercier and wife Natasha have just revealed the latest addition to their Happy Families deck of cards, a bouncing baby boy named Matteo Richard!
Although poker has taken something of a back seat for the Merciers, for obvious reasons, Jason added a huge win to his tournament CV this summer by taking down the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Super High Roller for $715,860.
The former PokerStars Team pro parted ways with the site soon after son Marco was born, stating of their first son’s birth:
“My life was changed forever that day, and for the better. Becoming a parent brings about a complete transformation of who you are.”
Wife Natasha, nee Barbour before the pair married in 2016, is also a very talented poker player in her own right. The Lebanese-born pro – turned – mother boasts over $1.2million winnings on her tournament resume.
