Party Poker $10 Million Progressive KO Series a Real Knockout

Players who enjoy bounty tournaments where your bankroll gets a boost every time you send a player to the rail will be in heaven from Feb. 25 to March 4 when Party Poker hosts a massive $10 million guaranteed Progressive KO Series.

There will be tournaments for every budget at five different levels, from the Micro and Low events on up to Medium, High and High Roller. The buy-ins of those tournaments run the gamut from $1.10 to $5,200.

Progressive Knockout events begin with each player having a bounty on his or her head. When a player is eliminated from the tournament, that bounty goes to the winning player of the KO hand, with a portion of the cash added to the bounty of that player.

Naturally, the deeper you run in the tournament, the higher the bounties become of the remaining players who knocked out their opponents. While aiming for the money in the prize pool of the tournament, the added facet of winning more money with each KO adds a bit of excitement and fun to the contest.

Team Pro Changes His Tune

“When we initially offered PKO tournaments I was generally against the format," stated Party Poker ambassador Patrick Leonard. "To my pleasant surprise, I loved them, people played way looser and there was a lot of action."

You can bet that Leonard and other Party Poker pros will be queing up to enter a number of the dozens of tournaments on the Progressive KO Series schedule. Especially the Championship events, of which there are seven, featuring a range of buy-ins.
