Poker Pro Beth Shak Divorces Rick Leventhal

If you took the under on whether or not the marriage of poker pro Beth Shak and Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal would last one year, go ahead and collect your winnings.

The Daily Mail UK reported that Shak has filed divorce papers, with the widely used "irreconcilable differences" cited as the reason.

The pair eloped in Las Vegas last June after knowing each other for only four months. While that all sounds very romantic, including getting hitched at Graceland Wedding Chapel, the odds of a lifelong marriage under such circumstances is likely much less than a coin flip.

The newlyweds had both been married and divorced previously, Beth to hedge fund manager and part-time poker player Dan Shak, and Rick to television reporter Penny Daniels.

The split between the Shaks made headlines when Dan brought legal action against his ex-wife after finding out that she had $1 million worth of shoes that wasn't a part of the $3.25 million divorce settlement five years ago. Dan eventually dropped the complaint, leaving Beth with a collection of 1,200 pairs of shoes.

Beth and Leventhal tied the knot following a poker tournament, with wedding arrangements made by Robin Leach. The "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" host was on hand for the quickie marriage.

"I’m heartbroken our marriage didn’t work out and I only wish her happiness,' Leventhal stated.

Beth Shak has tallied $481,809 in tournament winnings over her career, according to the Hendon Mob. The bulk of that came in 2007 when she finished 2nd in a $3K WSOP event for $328,683.
