Each and every new year is an opportunity to start off with a clean slate, to perhaps change some old ways and habits, and begin anew in another direction.

For some, that means getting in better shape, saving or making more money, or spending more time with loved ones. For Joey Ingram, it means introducing and getting more players excited about Pot Limit Omaha.

Widely recognized as a PLO expert, ChicagoJoey has made it his mission to spread awareness about the game he loves by creating more PLO-related content.

Ingram stated on a brand new YouTube video...

"I wanna bring the great game of Pot Limit Omaha to more people here in 2017."

The affable podcaster started his new year resolution in fine fashion by breaking down one of the sickest PLO hands you will ever see. The combatants are Patrik Antonius and Andrew Robl, who are battling it out in a $500/$1,000 PLO game back in 2009.

As you can see from the accompanying video, from the small blind Robl 3-bets Antonius pre-flop and is about a 3-1 underdog after the flop gives the Finn both a flush draw and straight draw. Robl managed to flop top pair, a back door flush draw, a back door straight draw, and two back door quad draws.

As explained by ChicagoJoey, doing "the math in PLO in spots like this is extremely important." While Robl was "on the wrong side of the math" in this particular situation, he surprises everyone by shoving all-in following a raise by Antonius.

The poker pros agree to run it four times, and astonishingly, Robl wins all four! He managed to hit with top pair, a full house, a straight, and a flush. The odds of the Ship It Holla Balla Robl winning all four runouts were calculated at less than 1%.

Ingram concludes by allowing that hand to be Exhibit A toward showing the fun and excitement that can be had while playing PLO. Who's ready for some more PLO content?
