Poker Player Qualifies for 2022 WSOP Main Event Fast Asleep

A poker player from the United States has qualified for the 2022 WSOP Main Event while fast asleep. Eric Goldstein forgot that he registered for the $80 satellite which awarded a single seat into the Main Event and went to bed without giving poker a second thought.
Imagine his surprise when the next day he woke up to a pile of messages telling him that he had won, beating his 125 opponents.
Nine Consecutive All-ins!
Eric Goldstein was a lucky guy to have picked up this win. Normally in a tournament where every hand is played all-in pre-flop, if a player isn’t seated then their blinds are taken and their hand is dead.In this WSOP.com satellite, it didn’t matter even if the player was logged in or not.
Goldstein said:
"I got home from a long day of work and was watching the (Poker Players Championship) and a friend messaged me. So I registered with like 30 minutes until it started and had to go to work at 6 a.m., so I passed out early and woke up to a lot of messages that I had won it."He also won’t have far to travel as he currently lives west of the Strip in Summerlin, a short drive to Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
