October 1st sees the doors open on the new season of OPL, the world’s biggest Online Poker League, with a huge prizefund and hundreds of extras and bonuses up for grabs every step of the way.

Bringing together poker sites such as 888poker, Unibet, TonyBet, Coral, Betfair, Tigergaming, Natural8, Netbet Poker, Betonline and Betvictor under one league allows players the chance to try out new sites as well as their personal favorites -and share in the $35,000 on offer.

Tournaments will run every single day throughout October and there is up to $1000 to be won in cash in each event, with added value from the site itself seeing an extra £250-500 on the line – as well as the bonus points which will make up the overall OPL leaderboard, the eventual winner taking home a sweet $7000 of the $18,000 prizepool!

The league - run by poker players FOR pokers players - has definitely caught the imagination of the playing public AND also the sponsors, which range from individual training websites to the world’s biggest poker and travel companies – all offering extra prizes all the way down to 20th spot in each tournament.

The season kicks off in just three days’ time with a Betfair €5 + €0.50 buy-in event with €300 added, but let’s take a look at what you could win over and above the $1000 in cash per event …

1st place extra prizes from the sponsors

Not to be sniffed at and the great thing is that it’s not only the winner who will walk away with everything….

Second place finishers will share in $2500 of bonus prizes while 3rd place share $1000 among themselves. And this goes on all the way down to 20th spot which sees coaching subscriptions, $100 cash prizes and tournament tickets on offer.

Everything the OPL sponsors have added is designed to improve or enhance your poker – tournament packages, flights to events, tickets to enter them, coaching for when you get there as well as beautiful bespoke poker tables and chip sets for honing your game with friends at home.

All of this, of course, on top of the $1000’s you can aim to win as with any normal poker tournament AND not forgetting your chance to top the leaderboard and walk off with a hefty $7000!

So, how do I sign up?

It’s pretty simple and straightforward really – just sign up to poker rooms directly via the OPL site, or else OPL partners such as PokerVIP, PokerTube and WeakTight to be eligible to take part and earn your points for the leaderboard race. Only your 10 best results count, so you don’t have to commit to every event or every single day.

If you are already playing on one of the sites and fancy joining in the OPL excitement just drop them an email. You can check out all the details here.
