We are back with more reports from the PokerStars play money tables. Despite the fact that some people don't seem too fascinated, when any tournament ends with the heads-up battle of the players with the legendary status like Barry Greenstein and Chris Moneymaker, it is impossible not to write about it.

The event in question was the inaugural Billionaire Club Championship, the exclusive tournament for the Billionaire Club members, e.g. players who have accumulated at least one billion play chips on PokerStars. It was by far the biggest ever play money event to take place on the room, with now distant second featuring the buy-in of 100 million.

Total of 29 other players ponied up the required amount of the pseudo-currency for the privilege to compete alongside two of the most recognizable faces of the poker world. This event has confirmed once again that play money players can be very serious about their game, as the first 90 minutes saw only four players sent to the rail.

Apart from Moneymaker and Greenstein, 22 of the remaining 29 players were from the United States, while other seven were from all over the globe. Only four players got paid and they competed for the total prize pool of 31 billion, as it seems that there was no rake paid.

Player 'cashcard52' was eliminated in fourth, earning 3.1 billion, with 'Mack.e.Knife' exiting in third, with 4.6 billion to his name. Although the chips are not redeemable for real money, both of these players were probably proud to have made it this deep in the most exclusive play money poker tournament on the planet.

After their exit, it was down to heads-up and, as strange as it may seem, the two people battling it out for the heaps and heaps of play chips were longtime poker pros, Barry 'barryg1' Greenstein and Chris 'Money800' Moneymaker.

It took total of 89 hands for Barry to take all of 2003 WSOP champion's chips, but it happened after some fifteen minutes of play and Barry added yet another title to his impressive professional resume. It may not be as big or as important as the other ones, but it certainly has some sentimental value.

I’m proud to have won the first-ever championship. I really enjoyed playing in the event, especially because I was able to share it with my Twitch audience while I played

Greenstein also streamed the entire tournament on his Twitch page so the fans from all over the world were able to enjoy live commentary from one of the best players around. When it was all said and done, Barry said he was happy about the victory, admitting that he actually felt that Chris was outplaying him, but the cards simply fell his way.
