A new vlog by Andrew Neeme finds him leaving Las Vegas and jetting to New Orleans to check out the cash games in the deep south.

It's his second trip to The Birthplace of Jazz, but only his first time playing poker there. Right off the bat, Neeme gets good vibes from the town's friendly atmosphere and the purple felted poker table at Harrah's.

The grind begins at $1/$3 no-limit with a Mississippistraddle. For those unfamiliar with that particular rule, Mississippi straddle permits any player from any position to invoke the straddle, not just the UTG player.

Hand Analysis

The first hand recalled by Neeme in this vlog results in a "rather favorable" flop, which has become a term that a number of his followers have taken kindly to. A comment from one of his viewers asks Neeme when he will begin selling t-shirts emblazoned with "Rather Favorable" on the front.

The vlogger admits that he has considered it and we may soon see poker players seated at live tables sporting such attire, as well as hoping to be rewarded with rather favorable flops of their own.

Neeme's favorable flop on the first hand analyzed results in a nut flush. His all-in jam on the turn is called by his lone remaining opponent in the hand, allowing Andrew to scoop a $1,461 pot and perhaps setting the tone for this multi-stop deep south trip.

Flushing Again

The next hand scrutinized by the cash game vlogger found him folding a flush draw after the flop when his $75 bet was met with a $455 raise by the button. The winner eventually showed a flopped set, despite receiving no takers when he asked for $10 to show his hand.

Neeme then recounted a hand which found him in a similar situation with a flush draw in hearts after the flop, with two hearts in his hand. Unhappy with himself for the size of his bet in the previously discussed hand when his $75 was lost to a huge raise, this time he checked, as did the remaining players in the hand.

Another heart on the turn gave Neeme a flush, albeit only 10-high, good for a $35 bet into a $45 pot. An opponent's raise to $85 was cause for concern, but Neeme was "definitely not going anywhere with my flush" and made the call.

The river produced yet another heart and Neeme's check was surprisingly copied by his opponent, who also held two hearts in his hand, one of them the Queen. What could have been a disaster in lost cash turned out to be not so bad for Neeme, who lost less than $100 with a smaller flush.

The session ended with Neeme $652 to the good, a rather favorable day at the New Orleans cash game $1/$3 tables for the affable poker vlogger.
