Ominous looking clouds kept Andrew Neeme from showing his viewers some of his favorite hot spots in Los Angeles, his former home for more than four years.

Nothing else to do but take us inside the poker room at Hollywood Park Casino, which is the real reason most of his 41,000+ subscribers tune in anyway. Those viewers were not disappointed when Andrew recapped half a dozen hands during his lengthy poker session in the City of Angels.

Card Dead

Neeme suffered through what many poker players are all too familiar with - an extended period of being card dead. Such a predicament causes some players to loosen up their starting hand selections, wanting to force the action with less than optimal hole cards.

But Andrew managed to resist the temptation, biding his time, waiting, not allowing an endless run of crappy cards to deviate from his game.

"Lots of folding, lots of whiffing, lots of not connecting," was the way Neeme described a roughly four-hour period of dead cards.

A Little Patience

The poker vlogger's patience was eventually rewarded when he played a high pocket pair practically perfectly, check-raising an opponent with an all-in shove on the river after making a set on the turn. The result was a $3,740 pot in the $5/$10 cash game with a $20 straddle.

The end result, after leaving the casino after 6:00 a.m., was a winning session of $3,480 despite the long drought in playable hands. Perhaps Andrew should hope for threatening weather more often.

Improving the Play of Viewers

Neeme's poker skills and vlogs have received much applause from players the world over. One such follower from Belgium had this to say in appreciation:

"The reasons behind every bet and check is slowly making me a slightly better player than i was before. Thanks for the vlogs man, they are as entertaining as they are educational!"

Indeed. Andrew's retelling of his thought processes during hand recaps is likely upping the game of many of his subscribers.
