A new feature added to The Poker Monk's video blogs allows viewers to give their opinion regarding how he played the hands analyzed with a click of a button and without having to post a comment.

The poll permits one of two choices to be selected, either "Well Done!" or "Back to the Books, Fish!" It's likely that The Poker Monk will get a majority of positive votes for a successful bluff on his first recapped hand, while his fans may not be as kind on the second hand analyzed.

Spin & Sit

In the midst of explaining the debacle of that latter hand, vlog viewers get a glimpse of The Poker Monk's dog, Miso, doing a pirouette before laying down and getting comfortable on the sofa. Miso's spinning in circles in the background while his owner lambasts himself for playing the hand poorly should in no way be seen as symbolic of Robert Dewberry's poker progress, it is simply something that dogs do.

The hand was analyzed in the comfort of The Poker Monk's home, but it was played at the $1/$2 cash game tables of the Hollywood Casino in Charles Town, West Virginia. Dewberry chose that venue in hopes of finding softer games, avoiding the MGM poker room and its propensity to host heavier action and seat more regs.

Monkey Tilt

The Poker Monk seemingly found what he was searching for, a poker table populated by three beer-drinking buddies aiming for a good time as opposed to concentrating on grinding out a profit. But it wasn't the recreational players who were responsible for Dewberry's losing session, but his own tilted play, he readily admitted.

The Poker Monk said:

"All the strategy in the world won't help if you can't make sure that you're in the right mental state to execute the strategy that you've learned."

A promise to work on the mental aspect of his game concluded Dewberry's vlog. But not before revealing how he got rivered with full boats in two separate hands after flopping flushes. Ouch.
