Tobias ‘PokerNoob999’ Reinkemeier

Reinkemeier is one of the most successful players to ever come out of his country.

Often grouped together with fellow German poker sensations Fedor Holz and Ole Schemion, Tobias Reinkemeier is one of the most successful players to ever come out of his country. Surrounded by a group of extremely dedicated and intelligent poker players, Reinkemeier’s commitment to studying the game has paid off as he has bagged over $11,000,000 in live tournament earnings alone.

He is best known for winning the 2010 EPT Monte Carlo €25,000 High Roller event for $1,272,698. High buy-in tournaments like these always attract competitive crowds, so Tobias’s victory over the likes of Olivier Busquet and Thomas Marchese is a testament to his ability as a player. His success on the EPT circuit is not limited to this event, as he made another seven-figure cash two years later at the same EPT stop. Finishing second-place in the 2012 €100,000 Super High Roller 8-Max event for $1,404,750, he outlasted fellow legends Daniel Negreanu and Patrik Antonius and lost out only to America’s Justin Bonomo. Reinkemeier has continually proven himself to be extremely comfortable in these high-stakes tournaments, as shown by his success in the 2013 EPT London £50,000 Super High Roller event. He displayed his fearlessness in a hand versus WSOP Main Event winner Jonathon Duhamel, when he successfully raised his QcQh as a bluff on a JsTs7c6s8c runout and got Duhamel to fold a straight. You can watch this hand play out here.

Amazingly, these EPT successes don’t even include Tobias’s largest cash to date. This achievement came in 2014, where he finished fifth in the 2014 $1,000,000 buy-in Big One for One Drop event for $2,053,334. While the score was impressive, he was on this occasion the victim of a big bluff. Reinkemeier thought that he made a heroic laydown when he folded AsAh facing an all-in from Scott Seiver on 4cQs2cJc, only to see that he had been bluffed by KsTs. With Daniel Negreanu calling the clock on the German just before he folded, this hand became one of the most-talked about moments of the 2014 World Series of Poker.

Now based in London, Reinkemeier also plays online under the screenname ‘PokerNoob999’ on PokerStars. While his results are hidden on most tracking sites, he is known for taking down the Sunday Million back in 2011 for $135,053.
