Scientists at Carnegie Mellon University have created an artificial intelligence so sophisticated, they think it can beat the best human poker pros at heads-up No-Limit Hold'em.
The new AI, nicknamed Libratus, will take on Dong Kim, Jason Les, Daniel McAulay and Jimmy Chou over 20 days and 120,000 hands of heads-up poker.
The bot was developed by Tuomas Sandholm at CMU and is a new version of the poker-playing AI Claudico that lost to human opponents by a small margin in 2015.
