Doug Polk and Charlie Carrel have taken to Twitter to exchange barbs over the infamous JNandez court case after the Brit revealed some details to his followers.
Carrel launched the attack on Polk in a three-minute video in which he criticised the way Polk viciously attacked JNandez for legally breaking their contract. Carrel went on to further accuse Polk of deliberately publishing SEO content to damage JNandez's reputation to anyone searching his name online.
According to Carrel, JNandez felt he had no choice but to take legal action against Polk to claim what he was owed and to prevent any more harm to his reputation. Upswing Poker lost the case which resulted in a six-figure payout to JNandez.
In response, Polk clarified that it was he and not JNandez who initiated legal action.
Carrel also took issue with Doug Polk’s criticism of Matt Berkey over comments made about the Lodge Card Club’s security on the Only Friends podcast. Polk took the comments as an attack on him and made it clear he wasn’t happy with what was said. Carrel then accused Polk of being dishonest himself on more than one occasion.
With the degree of dislike between Doug Polk and Charlie Carrel being blatantly obvious, it is no surprise that some are pushing for the long-mooted “long-form content” involving the pair. Carrel has pushed Polk for a long time to sit down and have a live-streamed chat to air their differences but to no avail.
“I've offered Doug a debate/conversation many times. He prefers to stick to 240 characters or whatever hit piece his editor can splice together. It is brutally childish behaviour.”
