JNandez Reveals Truth About UpSwing Poker Deal Failure

Doug Polk’s decision to make a snide post in yesterday’s ‘scarf scams controversy’ backfired spectacularly today, shit getting really real as online PLO crusher Fernando ‘JNandez87’ Habegger produced a detailed 1 hour video accusing Doug Polk and Upswing Poker of a number of apparently lowdown, nasty business and personal practices – with Joey Ingram deeply involved too…

Acrimonious split

‘JNandez’ as he is commonly known in the online world, left Upswing this year in a blaze of controversy - “unexpectedly kicked out” in his words, of the private Facebook group where members share insights, strategies and organise tuition - only for Doug Polk to later accuse him of planning to steal his customers.

Fear of repercussions

Yesterday’s video from Nandez goes deep into the business and personal relationships he had with Polk, Ingram and the Upswing Poker training lab – the PLO expert prefacing almost every detail with ‘allegedly’ or ‘in my opinion/recollection’ for fear of being sued by Polk and others…

Paid $1200 instead of $90,000 claims Nandez

Nandez claims he was short-changed on his deal with Upswing in many areas, and that Ingram was given a bigger % share than he deserved for his ‘affiliate referral’ involvement in the much-heralded PLO University and PLO Lab courses Nandez produced for the site.

He also says he was only ‘paid’ $1200 instead of his own calculations closer to $90k, even that smaller sum still apparently to be handed over following lawyer’s letters between the duelling parties.

Bizarre conversations

He also recalls a bizarre Skype call with an unnamed Upswing team member – a big crypto fan per Nandez’s account – who is alleged to have shouted:

"HAVE YOU MADE MORE VIDEOS? I HAVE SO MUCH MONEY BUT I NEED MORE."

Nandez also recalls their first in-person meeting at Polk’s home, where Polk ignored him completely for around 15 minutes, leaving Nandez and a friend feeling extremely uncomfortable.

Unusual responses

Nandez’s very guarded ‘accusations’ have prompted Joe Ingram to respond, Polk himself promising to do so as well, although Ingram – unusually for someone who uses Twitter so much – pointed fans and followers and interested parties to a series of replies on the 2+2 forum

…while Polk made yet another dig at Nandez by focusing on his former employee’s ‘Comments are disabled’ decision…

...before posting on 2+2:

“Upswing does not owe Fernando any additional money. Fernando is also breaking at least a couple of items on our contract with this video. Many of his stories contain untrue elements. Fernando also forgot to mention many stories of him acting unethically”.

Polk’s comeback

Polk will almost certainly take the opportunity tomorrow to delve deeply into the meat and bones of Nandez’s shocking claims, a pre-arranged podcast with none other than Joe Ingram on the schedule…
