MythBusters’ Adam Savage Shows You How to Build Teddy KGB’s Rounders Table

Adam Savage, one-time a Mythbuster and forever a movie prop obsessive, has never been quiet about his interest in poker. Last year he revealed his Teddy KGB chipset, telling the story of how he tracked down the original chip company that supplied the movie production.

In one of his more recent videos, he followed this up by showing viewers how to make a replica of Teddy’s mustard yellow tables. Well, a scaled-down version designed to fit into his games room.

In a One Day Builds episode of his YouTube show Tested he sets himself the task of putting together the replica table against the clock. He has friends coming to play on the table in the evening, so it has to be up and running by then.

Savage has always been a poker nerd, often Tweeting from small tournaments when he enters them. Interestingly he doesn’t give any credit to Chris Moneymaker for the poker boom, pointing towards This American Life and the New York Times

The video is coming up on more than a million views and has hopefully pointed some DIY nerds who haven’t seen Rounders that way. So maybe Savage will be part of a 2020s resurgence in the game.

As to whether or not he can pull off a John Malkovich impression, you’ll have to watch the video to find out.
