The worlds of poker and the US presidential election seem to be clashing quite a lot recently, but this week saw the most bizarre incident yet – with Daniel ‘Kid Poker’ Negreanu offering $100,000 to see Donald Trump’s penis!
Nope, it’s not a typo…$100K to see Trump’s allegedly teeny-weenie wiener. Why on earth would he do that?
Well, in the time-honoured tradition of bringing loud-mouths down-to-earth, or down-to-size as in this case, Trump’s main rivals have been focusing on some less political point scoring.
Fellow Republican hopeful Marc Rubio raised Trump’s hackles – if not much else –when he commented on the billionaire mogul’s small hands, prompting Trump to respond:
He referred to my hands, if they’re small, something else must be small. I guarantee you there’s no problem. I guarantee it.”
Not good enough for Negreanu, who quickly upped the stakes by tweeting:
This led to his amazing offer:
I challenge @realDonaldTrump to release a dick pic to prove it’s of average size or more. I will donate $100,000 to a charity of his choice.”

Whether ‘ KidPoker’ was referring to average size for a politician, or average for the rest of us (there has to be a difference, surely?) is unclear, but somehow I doubt Trump would be quite so popular if he decided to take Negreanu up on the bet.
With Negreanu’s obvious skill at reading people, the right-wing presidential hopeful might be better off just folding! Negreanu is churning out daily tweets to keep his fan-base abreast of the situation as he sees it: “Children saying they think Trump is too immature to be president. Haha this is cute and spot on!” although even he felt that poker was just a bit too well-supported in one poll.
After asking his followers to vote on which issue is most important to them, he tweeted the following day:
6588 voted on which issue is most important to them: Abortion 6% Climate Change 19% Online Poker 32% Healthcare 43% Poker? Come on people!”
On the back of former Main Event winner Jamie Gold giving his tuppenceworth on presidential betting accuracy versus polls, and 14-WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth devising strategies to topple Trump’s ‘loose-aggressive’ style, it seems that poker may just have the answer which Trump’s main rivals in the Republican party, Rubio and Cruz, are struggling to find.
