Thor Hansen, the man known as the The Godfather of Norwegian Poker, has passed away aged 71 after a lengthy battle with cancer – the poker community today sharing its memories of the legendary player…

Hansen was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2012, but the ‘few months’ he was given by doctors became years, still playing and winning at cards almost to the very end – including a cash at this year’s Norwegian Open in Dublin
