It seems that some of the top pros get more angry at sports results than poker ones, Daniel Negreanu and Mike The Mouth Matusow among those raging at last night’s Las Vegas Golden Knights loss – the referee at the centre of the drama…

I’ve never in my life seen something like this before.

The Stanley Cup play-off game against the San Jose Sharks had seen Negreanu’s favourite hockey team build up a big lead in a night of high drama at the SAP Center in California…

…but a series of questionable decisions saw their opponents overcome the deficit, eventually winning in overtime – and sending the poker community’s hockey fans into a frenzy.

Matusow ranted that “Refs stole this game from Vegas complete and utter bullshit!” in a series of tweets…

What an embarrassing moment for the league. Unfortunate for Sharks fans as well. Great team that doesn’t want to win that way. Hard fought series, just really unfortunate to run into an emo ref/linesman looking to make a statement. Shell shocked.
