While poker fans continue to wait for Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Dan “Jungleman” Cates to get together and resume the Durrrr Challenge that’s almost a decade old, the high stakes pros did get together for a contest of a different sort.
Beer pong.
A short clip posted on the Instagram account of Jungleman shows the pair ponging it at the recently concluded Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Montenegro. We are only treated to a snippet of action, but it certainly appears that Jungleman excels at the game, as he did versus durrrr the last time the two played heads-up poker in the Durrrr Challenge that began before Black Friday.
It’s unknown how high the stakes were during the beer pong contest, but one would imagine that the loser being forced to drink wasn’t the only consequence of coming up short during the game.
It’s assumed that super pro Dan Cates was willing to wager plenty, especially since he binked the final tournament of the Triton SHR, an HKD 300K ($38K) Mixed NLHE + Short Deck event for $501,000.
