The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) has announced an alliance with the Brazil Series of Poker (BSOP) Millions that is expected to result in a poker festival that will be the region's largest ever.

Taking place from November 25 to December 3 in São Paulo, the partnership will build on the success of years past, providing a variety of buy-ins and game types to suit the tastes of all players - from casual to professional. Among the 32 tournaments scheduled will be events for Ladies, Seniors, the R$3,000 BSOP Millions, the R$10,000 LAPT Grand Final Main Event, and a NLHE Survivor Event each day at 10:00 p.m., .

“The BSOP Millions and the LAPT Grand Final are the two most important live poker events in Latin America," said the CEO of the BSOP Millions, Igor Federal. "Bringing together the two tours means that we can combine our efforts to create one amazing festival, and we are expecting record numbers of players.”

Over 15,000 tournament entries were recorded at last year's BSOP Millions, including 2,749 in the Main Event. More than $6.5 million was paid out to players.

The LAPT began Season 8 this year at the PCA in the Bahamas. Tour stops followed in Chile, Panama and Peru, with another festival on the schedule for September in Uruguay. The final tour stop will be in São Paulo with the BSOP Millions.

The LAPT Grand Final Main Event will run from November 25-29, while the BSOP Millions Main Event is set for Nov. 27–Dec. 3. Players can compete in both, as the LAPT Grand Final will conclude on Nov. 29, which is Day 1C of the BSOP Millions. Freerolls awarding packages to both tournaments will be hosted at PokerStars.

Team PokerStars Pro Andre Akkari pointed out that the collaboration of the poker tours, combined with Brazilian football superstar Neymar Jr serving as a PokerStars ambassador "is going to increase overall participation and strengthen the competitiveness of the event."
