A television network dedicated exclusively to poker programming called Poker Central is set to go on the air in the near future.

Although an exact broadcast launch date has yet to be announced, a recent press release revealed that "non-stop coverage of everything poker" will soon be available to poker players and fans. Based in Las Vegas, Poker Central is readying programming that will include tips from pros, profiles of players, and exciting tournament action from around the world.

Billing itself as "the world's only 24/7 Poker TV network," Poker Central promises to provide viewers with an inside look at both gripping victories and tragic defeats. The new network has vowed a commitment to "advancing the sport of poker worldwide."

Super High Roller Bowl 2015

Poker Central, in conjunction with Poker PROductions, is sponsoring the upcoming $25 million Super High Roller Bowl that is set for July 2-4 at the Aria Resort & Casino. A buy-in of $500,000 is expected to produce a $25 million prize pool with $8 million estimated as the winner's share.

β€œWe are excited to partner with Aria and Poker PROductions to announce this new and thrilling event,” said Poker Central CEO Clint Stinchcomb. β€œIt’s sure to be one of the most captivating and popular tournaments in poker.”

Over 50 players have announced their intentions to play in the Super High Roller Bowl. Among them are Phil Ivey, Sam Trickett, Andrew Lichtenberger, Connor Drinan, Dan Smith, Erik Seidel, Dan Cates, Igor Kurganov, Isaac Haxton, Antonio Esfandiari, Joseph Cheong, Tom Dwan and Phil Hellmuth. The Super High Roller Bowl is set to be an annual event that will award a championship ring along with the prize money. No fees will be attached to the $500K entry fee, nor will there be a cap on the number of players.

Satellites to the event will be announced soon. No invitations to the Super High Roller Bowl will be extended, as anyone with $500,000 (or winners of satellites) can enter. Poker fans can expect to watch the event on a major TV network sometime in August.

Further details will be forthcoming. But the excitement and anticipation is building already!
