Players and fans who have followed high stakes online cash games at Full Tilt are familiar with the play of Alexandre 'Alexonmoon' Luneau, who has tussled with many of the best including Tom Dwan, Viktor Blom, Gus Hansen and Rui Cao.

Those same fans and players will next be watching Luneau on the live tournament circuit as the newest member of Team Pro Winamax. 'Alexonmoon' has joined France's top poker site, seated right alongside pros such as Sylvain Loosli, Davidi Kitai, Patrick Bruel and Gaelle Baumann.

Recognized as one of the finest cash game players worldwide, Luneau will shift his attention to live tournaments and is already doing so as a Team Winamax Pro at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris on the Winamax Poker Tour that kicked off on Nov. 7. Luneau's goal is to crush tournament action, much the same way as he did the online cash games.

"It will be an incredible experience to join the Team on the live circuit," Luneau said. "It's a hugely successful team, with endurance, and a consistency established over many years, which is rare to see. I can't wait to work as part of the group!"

Luneau's live tournament resume consists of six cashes at WSOP events, with his best showing a 5th place finish in $1,500 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo in 2014 for $58,769. In the 2010 WSOP Main Event, Luneau managed to cash in 396th place for $31,647. The Hendon Mob lists his career earnings at $161,846.

A mixed games master, 'Alexonmoon' is aiming for a WSOP gold bracelet in 2016. Fans can expect to see him competing in events such as Deuce to Seven, Razz, Omaha and Stud at next summer's WSOP, as well as the $50,000 Poker Players' Championship that features ten poker variants.

"He has a true passion for the game and is a hard worker," friend and fellow Winamax Team Pro Sylvain Loosli said of Luneau. "He didn't get to this level by accident."

In addition to the 2016 WSOP, Luneau's schedule next year will include the Winamax SISMIX festival in Marrakech, Morocco, and the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo.

Of course, Luneau won't abandon playing online poker. Winamax players will find him under the screen name of 'Alexonmoon.'
