Another PokerStars patch has been handed out and this one will land in Latin America on the attire of Felipe Mojave, who has been named as an ambassador for the world's top poker site.

The popular Brazilian poker pro is fresh from a 136th place finish in the WSOP Main Event that added $46,890 to his bankroll. His rail at the Rio in Las Vegas included superstar footballer Neymar Jr, who also signed on as a PokerStars ambassador a couple months ago.

“I’m very happy to see my friend Felipe join the team!” Neymar Jr said. “We’ve played lots of poker together and I’ve learned a lot from him. Now the world will get to see what I already know - he’s one of the very best.”

Along with Neymar Jr, Mojave will join soccer legend Ronaldo and Team PokerStars Pro Andre Akkari in representing 'Stars in Brazil. His first appearance in that role will come this week at the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) in São Paulo.

Poker fans who can't make it to Brazil to see Mojave and his PokerStars colleagues in person at the R$2,600 Main Event can tune into PokerStars.tv at 16:00 (Brazil time) on July 26 to watch a live stream of the Neymar Jr Charity Home Game. The event will donate funds to the underprivileged in Brazil through the Neymar Jr Institute.

Mojave's live tournament winnings currently total $932,498, the Hendon Mob reported. His largest cash came in 2013 when he won $100,000 by topping a field of 22 at a $10,000 Super High Roller Event in his home country.

While not seated at the poker table, Mojave has flanked Akkari at the microphone and provided expert commentary on poker television broadcasts in Brazil such as Poker Night on Band Sports and Somos Poker on Fox Sports.

Players who want to compete against Mojave online should look for the screen name ‘mojave’ at PokerStars. His new ambassadorship falls under the category of ‘Friend of PokerStars.'
