PokerStars has announced that $100 buy-in Spin & Gos have been added to its offerings, as the hyper-turbo, lottery-style Sit n Go games continue to be a popular choice among players.

Previously, the buy-in levels available at PokerStars were $1, $3, $7, $15, $30 and $60, with the top 1st place prize at $180,000. The new $100 Spin & Gos increase the maximum possible 1st place payout to $300,000, with the prize pool for all three players at $360,000.

“All of the rules and parameters are the same,” the PokerStars Blog reported. “The buy-in is just bigger.”

Those rules state that a Spin & Go game begins once three players put up the entry fee. The prize pool numbers spin and can land on any one of eight possible prize pool multipliers – from 2x a single buy-in to 3,600x.

The biggest possible jackpot payout hits at a frequency of 1 out of every 100,000 games played. The lowest possible prize pool of 2x a single buy-in will appear over 70% of the time.

Jackpot Sit n Gos such as Spin & Go at PokerStars have changed the face of online poker, perhaps even more so than Full Tilt’s introduction of Rush Poker in 2010. The novelty of the game has yet to wear off, and it may continue to have a substantial amount of staying power as time rolls on.
