Claims administration firm Garden City Group (GCG) has put out a last call for former U.S. Full Tilt players who have yet to file a Petition for Remission, announcing on the official website that the filing deadline is October 31, 2015.

Petitions will not be accepted beyond that date and the GCG advises players to get in contact with them regarding any "questions about a previously filed Petition, or questions about the filing deadline."Click here for the GCG's email address and/or telephone number.

As announced about 10 days ago, another reimbursement wave of about $5.5 million will land in the bank accounts of roughly 1,900 players sometime this month. Following that payout, the entire Full Tilt remission process will be approximately 92% complete.

Less than 4,000 claims are still in the queue to be processed, plus whatever new claims are submitted prior to the filing deadline that is only about two weeks away. I can't imagine that too many players with FTP account balances who still play poker regularly will have waited this long without putting a claim in for their outstanding cash. However, people being as they are, you never can tell.

Players Choose Not to Submit Claims?

Some have suggested that there may be a number of recreational players whose balances were modest, resulting in the decision to avoid any potential headaches by not going through the claim filing process. Yet other players may have turned their backs on online poker after Black Friday, choosing never to return. Could they be unaware of the Full Tilt acquisition by PokerStars and the settlement details?

Something is amiss when we examine the numbers. Roughly $184 million was set aside for payment of ex-Full Tilt players in the U.S. But after the latest batch of payments are doled out this month, it will bring the total paid to date to almost $110 million with only 8% of claims outstanding.

It appears that millions of dollars will go unclaimed by players. It also appears that the DoJ and GCG may be the beneficiaries of the excess cash.
