ACR $10 Million Venom Title Claimed By 'Manuma29' for $1,169,9517 months ago
Americas Cardroom made another millionaire in its exciting $10 million guaranteed Venom tournament when Argentinian 'Manuma29' topped 4,017 entries to bag $1,169,951 in prize money.
It was ACR's largest event ever with a prize pool of $10,042,500 up for grabs. The tourney was the headliner of the poker site's 21st Anniversary Celebration that's still underway and will run through October.
The Venom's buy-in of $2,650 was certainly affordable for serious poker players. For those who found that entry fee a little steep, ACR happily offered tons of satellites for players to win a seat and take a chance at winning life-changing money.
The life of 'Manuma29' is certainly forever changed, with a heck of a story to tell, to boot. Not only were there five Day 1s and eight exciting days of poker action, but the Venom concluded in spectacular fashion when 'Manuma29' won the final hand with a royal flush!
Final Table Has International FlavorThe final table saw four different countries represented, with players from USA, Brazil and India clashing against the Argentinian. Four and a half hours later, only 'Manuma29' and 'G26' remained, with the latter holding less than half as many chips as his opponent.
All the chips were tossed into the middle of the table pre-flop with 'Manuma29' holding the edge with AQ suited in clubs to the A8 offsuit of 'G26.' The flop of 10c-Ad-Kc saw the Argentinian maintain the lead and needing the Jc on the turn or river for a royal flush.
The wait wasn't a long one as 4th street produced that beautiful card, ending a two-hour showdown between the final two combatants and relegating 'G26' to a 2nd place finish and a hefty prize as well of $879,723.
