ACR Add Freeroll Options to Their $Million Sunday Encores

Americas Cardroom have decided to offer a ‘Freeroll to Steps’ route into their Million Dollar Sunday Encore events starting this Monday, giving players the opportunity to freeroll all the way to the biggest tournament on their schedule, the $2,650 buy-in, $1,000,000 GTD MDS Encore.

ACR’s big boss Phil Nagy decided recently that he would continue with the popular big buy-in, big prizemoney Sunday special for as long as players were interested, and the latest news means that those unlikely to have the bankroll for such a prestige tournament now have a route in.

There will be 12 freerolls running per day, kicking off every 2 hours at 12am E.T. as of this Monday, October 15th. These free to enter tourneys will lead players into the On Demand qualifiers, which usually start at a $6.60 buy-in but will see a huge 113 qualifiers per freeroll.

It’s probably easier just to look at this handy table to see just what will be required to make it all the way to the Sunday biggie, each step getting just a bit tougher as you progress.

Nagy said recently of the $Million Sunday Encores:

“These tournaments have been a success because they provide value to a demographic in poker that other sites are not catering to”.

Adding the freeroll/Step route will now give generally non-highstakes players the chance to mix it with the site’s best pros, with recent MDS tournaments seeing regular $200k+ top prizes handed out, and popular streamers also attracted to the lucrative and well-run events.
