With the $5million GTD Venom tournament up-and-running on Americas Cardroom, big boss of the site’s parent Winning Poker Network, Phil Nagy, is offering six players the chance to win big for themselves and for charity!

The PKO tournament is one of the biggest events on the ACR annual calendar and with a $2650 buy-in Nagy’s offer will see almost $16k of charity-driven free entries given out.

A second tweet spelled out what potential Venom players have to do to get themselves staked for charity:

“Post a video blog of whatever you want that will make me want to stake you,” Nagy explained, adding: “Tag and follow and please retweet for awareness! Winners will be chosen on September 23rd.”

The potential for charity and the players themselves is huge, with last October’s version of the Venom PKO eventually having a $6,777,500 prize pool, far in excess of the $5M guarantee.

Earlier this year those numbers were smashed once again, 2864 entries producing a $7,160,000 prizepool, the eventual winner “Rydo” pocketing a huge $738,134 of that monster sum.

Should the winner this time round – or indeed any of the final tablists or deep runners – come from the charity staking half-dozen, the breast cancer charities chosen will be given a healthy boost to their cancer-battling bankrolls.

Video entries have been coming in thick and fast, and from all corners of the poker world, Englishman Ben Warrington offering half of his potential 59% winnings to charity as well...

...while Dean C wants a chance to play one of the big events before things get too much tougher from a health perspective.

With a few days still left to enter, the lucky chosen half-dozen will be looking to advance to day two and beyond and we’ll keep you up to date with all the latest Venom stories right here.

For now, if you just want to buy-in direct or even satellite your way to a $2650 Venom seat, check out the ACR tournament lobby here.
