ACR Introduce 7-day No Rathole Tables!

Ever wished you could track down the ratholers and ban them from the poker tables? Well, ACR have taken action that will see them tucking their nasty little tails between their legs for a week at a time, their 7-day No Rathole Tables now up-and-running…

If you don’t know what ‘ratholing’ is, let me explain: it’s when a player pockets a big win and then disappears, only to return shortly afterwards with the minimum buy-in again, most of their winnings safely squirreled – or ratted – away.

We’ve all encountered them, and it leaves a very sour taste in the mouth, but ACR have come up with a very bright solution: If you leave a winner and want to return to the No Rathole tables, you must come back with the same amount you left with – and that figure is locked in for a whole week!

Want an example? OK, let’s imagine someone buys in to your $1/2 cash game for $100 and triples up quickly. He leaves with $300 and wants to come back almost immediately with his $100 again. Well, he can’t! He has to sit down with the $300 he left with.

After 7-days from his initial win, he’ll once again be allowed to sit down with his preferred half buy-in or whatever – suitably chastened and hopefully never doing it again!

It’s all done automatically by the ACR software, so no-one can slip through the net, leaving the rest of us a whole lot happier. Here’s a brief overview of the cunning ACR plan in bullet form…

The 7-Day No Rathole tables

  • 10 Big Blinds Buy-in
  • If you leave a winner and want to return to the No Rathole tables, you must come back with the same amount you left with (that amount locked in for 7 days)
  • Tables currently available at these stakes: $0.10/$0.25, $1/$2, $5/$10, $50/$100

Those big buy-in numbers on the right, by the way, are where a tonne of highstakes action has been taking place recently – October seeing several $100k+ pots and November following suit…

PLO, NLHE and the relatively new – and very exciting - 6+ Hold’em all feature heavily, and from the tweet below it’s possible that ACR-partnered TwitchTV streamer Michael Loncar is playing all of them simultaneously!

So, no ratholes, stakes to suit everyone from the smallest bankroll to the biggest, and plenty of great advice through their dedicated streaming pros – looks like ACR have things covered. Check them out for yourself here.
