ACR - Americas Cardroom - has rolled out a new software update to improve user experience on their site. The platform has gone from strength-to-strength and grown considerably so this was a job that needed to be done to keep with the times

The US-facing site first considered this change as far back as 2015, but there were many factors to consider to make sure the job was done right. The initial roll out was on May 20th 2019, but there were a few niggles to get right to make everything perfect. For example, things such as getting the rewards display functioning and perfecting the sportsbook.

The key to getting everything as it should be was switching from a C## based client to a HTML5 one. This also enabled ACR to complete the move to mobile and tablet gaming which is essential in the modern day. Also key was allowing Mac users to join in the fun.

Today, we can report that the ACR software client is completely stable and fit for purpose in every way.  Photos of the old system seen alongside the new one show that everything now also looks as slick as it operates.

Key Features

The key points of the update include the following:

  • Redesigned the entire poker platform to make it more appealing and usable
  • New HTML5-based Graphical User Interface (GUI)
  • Lobby and game tables are more video game-centric
  • Larger, colorful poker chips
  • Avatars
  • Nameplates
  • Cleaner UI
  • Frequency of software releases will increase
  • The product will evolve quicker
  • Faster gameplay

Also, this is not the end of the project. The plan is now to consistently roll out more improvements month-over-month to give customers the best possible user experience. There are ideas to improve the lobby as well as more animations and graphics. Not only that, but tournament players will be excited to hear that progressive knockout tournaments will finally be coming to Americas Cardroom.

There’s plenty to look forward to in the future on ACR. Why not make an account and see what they have to offer.
