There's a new poker vlogger on the scene and it's none other than chess master and content creator Alexandra Botez, who announced her entry into the realm of poker vlogging on YouTube the same day as her first cash in a WSOP tournament - the Main Event.

The 888-patch-wearing Botez landed in 1040th place in the Big Dance, taking home $17,500, her largest score to date. Her bust from the tournament was as painful as it gets after Alexandra got it in good with pocket kings and her remaining 87,000 chips, only to watch helplessly as Allen Chang (K-J) hit an ace-high straight on the river.

As Botez stated in her Twitter post, there will be much more poker to come, the first of which is her maiden YouTube video dedicated to poker. As most are already aware, Alexandra is no stranger to vlogging, having amassed well over 1.7 million followers (along with kid sister Andrea) on her BotezLive YouTube and Twitch channels.

The Botez sisters' content up to now has been centered around chess, with some boxing mixed in as of late as Andrea has chosen a new challenge to pursue. Alexandra has also veered down a new path - poker - much to the delight of poker players and fans everywhere.

If Alexandra focuses on poker the same way she has on chess, there will be plenty more tournament cashes in her future. She is a five-time Canadian National Girls Chess Champion, as well as a certified Woman FIDE Master.

Botez already won a poker tournament in her short poker career, topping 79 entries in the $550 Hyper Turbo Freezeout at the 2023 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. She earned $10,815 and a PokerStars trophy for the victory.

Now with the WSOP Main Event cash on her resume, Botez is ready to blow up her new poker YouTube channel. It's highly likely that tons of her chess fans will follow Alexandra to her poker videos.

The first YouTube video is Botez taking a look at some of the most viewed poker clips of all time, giving viewers her take on the action. Check out the video below:
