Allen Kessler is known in the poker world for a few things, record-breaking numbers of cashes without ever winning really big among them, but at WSOP time ‘the Chainsaw’ comes into his own – sharing a Vegas schedule that will keep even the busiest poker player occupied…

The Vegas pro’s $3.7million in lifetime tournament earnings come courtesy of hundreds of smaller cashes, Kessler sitting in the top 10 of most cashes ever, and this week saw him add another notch to his belt – although it was a pretty big one by his standards…

Although many only equate a summer in Vegas with the WSOP at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino, Kessler’s list shows that there are a huge number of alternatives for those determined to make the most of their Vegas visit.

With over 100 casinos in total, and almost 40 on or around the Vegas Strip itself, Nevada’s poker offerings are vast – from the Aria to the Wynn and an entire alphabet inbetween.

Nightly NLHE at the Golden Nugget? The $100 buy-in ‘C-Note’ event at Planet Hollywood? Omaha8 at the Orleans? A Venetian SuperStack? There all on the schedule.

Boasting a wealth of experience, Kessler is of course an expert on poker tournaments and is constantly looking for ways to improve them – often to the chagrin of tournament organisers who are constantly asked to tweak structures and change formats.

This summer, however, they may have found a saviour…

…though somehow a single dinner may not be enough to rein in Chainsaw, barely a day later back on Twitter with another suggestion…
