The Australian-based poker website Poker Asia Pacific has re-launched following its buy-over last month by Plus EV.

The new team, headed up by Luke Brabin, also includes well-known Australian poker players Oliver Gill and Grant Levy, and focuses on Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia regions with news presented at a global level, from both live and online poker worlds.

Their online room has also seen a make-over, with some of the lowest rake levels available anywhere and the chance to satellite into major events in the Asia Pacific region, including the Poker SA Diamond Series in late October. They also plan to live stream major Australian events.

Luke Brabin is a former WSOP-APAC bracelet winner and an established player on the Australia and New Zealand Poker Tour with over 15 years of experience in the gaming industry as a bookmaker, professional sports trader and poker player.

“We’re excited to build upon Australia’s premier poker network with new features” said Brabin of the re-launch. “I’m looking forward to using my experience in sports betting as a bookmaker and professional trader to also share value and knowledge throughout the PAP community," adding that he hoped he and his team would, “take Poker Asia Pacific into a new era for poker in Australia”.

The buy-over of Poker Asia Pacific’s parent company last month by Plus EV Pty Ltd - owned by Brabin - also included their Indian sub-domain, and the new company will pay taxes in both India and Australia.
