Bilzerian Fires Shots At Hall

In the poker world there are plenty of people who seem to love being in the limelight, even if it’s nothing to do with their actual ability at the game, and no-one fits this description more than the self-styled King of Instagram Dan Bilzerian.
Regularly posting pics of himself with a bevy of beauties aboard his yacht or jet or in some palatial penthouse suite, Bilzerian’s poker ‘skills’ have been the subject of much attention and ridicule recently, but the part-time action movie extra doesn’t do himself any favors.
This time the talented Cate Hall is the subject of his misogyny, and the backlash has been amusing to follow on Twitter.
Friend: "Why do so many people care about this match?"

Me: "Because there's no one who doesn't want to watch at least one of us lose."

As many will know, last year Hall had a run in with another testosterone-fuelled poker bigmouth, Mike Dentale, the at-times nasty, at-times ridiculous back-and-forth on Twitter leading to a highly-publicised heads-up for rollz match due to take place this month.
Bilzerian, famous for, well, being famous is never one to stay out of the media limelight when an opportunity arises, but his shady financial background and somewhat limited poker prowess makes him an easy target when he opens his mouth in the poker community.
One of the most prolific posters over on 2+2, SwoopAE posted his thoughts:
"Hall vs Bilzerian hu4rollz next? I'm sure he'd have no problem with that since his money is all from 'private poker games' and by no means could have come from his dad's stolen Wall Street money, he's clearly a super elite poker player.”
Cate Hall, despite her slight frame, is nothing if not feisty and seems to have no problems defending herself against the big men of poker’s non-elite, tweeting back…
@catehall I don't even know who you're playing, but I want to bet against you because you are a woman and women can't play poker.

Bilzerian’s view on women, of course, is well-known – at least for those who have had the misfortune to see his Twitter feed and Instagram accounts, with International Women’s Day being ‘celebrated’ in ‘style’…
It's national Women's Day, be thankful, they are good for so many things! https://t.co/AGXd6xuuiYpic.twitter.com/Q4YNGsMFMS

…or this less-than-PC effort on Valentine’s Day…
Valentine's Day, the day you find out most of the girls u been fucking actually had boyfriends

Of course, much of what he does and says is simply to provoke a reaction – and having multi-millions of dollars means he doesn’t really have to give a shit what others think –and that’s just as well…
@DanBilzerian@catehall Dan only saying this for his fanboys obv. It's not like any pro respects his game. #daddydollars

@DanBilzerian@catehall I feel like this is only funny because Dan is unanimously terrible at poker

…and if you don’t want to listen to random Twitter accounts having a go at Bilzerian, try this one for size… Doug Polk ripping the poker-playing skills of Dan to shreds…
Well, little Cate and big Dan can bet all they like on the outcome of her Dentale match, but the result is unlikely to change, much the same as Bilzerian. Let’s finish with a quote taken out of context, but valid as irony…
I don't know how, but people keep surprising me with their stupidity, my last post was clearly sarcastic you dumb bastards

Sure Dan, sure!
