What to say about this guy? We are missing the words to describe success of this 24 year old American poker player, who has now amassed over $22,000,000 in live poker tournament winnings this year alone. Just yesterday he added one more trophy to his impressive collection by winning the second edition of the World Poker Tour Alpha8 event in London for a prize of $957,390 (£600,000). This is his third cash in high roller events this year and this time he defeated Max Altergott in the heads-up confrontation to claim the WPT Alpha8 title.

Palm Beach Casino hosted this strong event with a $100,000 buy-in, attracting 23 players. Famous poker players to fall short of the final table were Philipp Gruissem, Fabian Quoss, Igor Kurganov, Stephen Childwick and Erik Seidel – and the list of those who didn’t make it alone tells heaps of the quality of the event. Sam Trickett, Vladimir Troyanovskiy and Christoph Vogelsang fell short of the money, before Sorel Mizzi bubbled the event with Q-T of spades against Colman’s K-Q of diamonds.

Here are the final standings:

1st place Dan Colman 600,000

2nd place Max Altergott 350,000

3rd place Talal Shakerchi 224,000

4th place Isaac Haxton 160,000

A short reminder on Colman’s impressive live tournament results:

Before winning The Big One for One Drop for $15,306,668, Dan Colman finished in 3rd place in the $10,000 Heads–Up event, at WSOP 2014. He also won $2.2 million at EPT Monte Carlo in April 2014, where he won the €100,000 event, claiming his first Super High Roller title Dan also added two more seven–figure cashes this year. First, he finished in second place in the €50,000 Super High Roller at EPT Barcelona for €843,066 and then in September 2014 he won the Seminhole Hard Rock Poker Open winning $1,446,710.

One must wonder, does he still think that poker didn’t bring anything good to his life or that he doesn’t owe a single thing to poker? Maybe we should agree with him and simply say that is ‘very stressful’ way of life to become a multi-millionaire from playing poker. Or maybe it’s true that he really doesn’t care for poker and just happens to run good?
