Darren Elias from Pennsylvania won WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship, earning $843,744 for his victory (Including $15,400 entry into the World Championship also to be held at Borgata). He also wins a pair of Monster Products 24K Headphones, a Hublot watch King Power Unico and the one of the most important things for a professional poker player – his name on the World Poker Tour Champions Cup.
Heads up for WPT Champions Cup was played between Darren Elias and Kane Kalas. According to WPT live poker blog, final hand of the tournament happened during Level 37 (250,000/500,000/75000), where Elias won with King and four offsuit against Kalas’ Ace-King . When all the cards were out, Elias held two pair.
Elias’s name will be engraved on the one-and-only WPT Champions Cup, alongside the other WPT winners from the past twelve seasons.
