What’s the oddest place you’ve ever stumbled across a game of poker? For underwater photographer Vital Bazarov it was beneath the crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Aqaba. Just off the coast from Dahab, Egypt Vital was heading back to the surface at the end of a filming trip when he spied through his mask the four-handed game of what looks like five card draw.

"We were at a depth of around eight metres when me and my dive buddy, having already finished our dive, were already on our way back to the surface, when met this group of divers,” said Bazarov. "I asked permission to film and they said yes before we continued our return.”

In the footage you can see beer cans littering the gaming table suggesting a game that might be about to get a bit rowdy. And sure enough you can see arguments break out over who gets the the pot and a possible sneaky cheat swapping cards with an opponent while their eyes are on their gear.

Bazarov moved on before we could find out if what the house rules were on a shark trying to join the game, or if the oxygen levels were linked to the chip stacks for a death match mode.
